چکیده
A thin industrial corrosion-protection nanostructured coating for the Al alloy AA2024-T3 is demonstrated. The prepared in a two-step process utilizing hard anodizing as pre-treatment, followed by sealing and atomic layer deposition (ALD). In first step, sulfuric acid at low temperature converts surface into low-porosity anodic oxide. second pores are sealed coated low-temperature ALD using different metal oxides. resulting ceramic coatings thoroughly characterized cross-sectioning focused ion beam, scanning electron microscopy, transmission X-ray microanalysis, nanoindentation tested via linear sweep voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, salt spray, energetic oxygen flow. best corrosion protection coating, made 20 V, 1 °C with amorphous 2 O 3 /TiO nanolaminate, exhibits no signs of after 1000 h ISO 9227 spray test demonstrates maximum hardness 5.5 GPa. same also suffers negligible damage an test, which comparable to year exposure space Earth orbit.

متن کاملObstacles to applications of nanostructured thermoelectric alloys
A major theme in thermoelectric research is based on controlling the formation of nanostructures that occur naturally in bulk intermetallic alloys through various types of thermodynamic phase transformation processes (He et al., 2013). The question of how such nanostructures form and why they lead to a high thermoelectric figure of merit (zT) are scientifically interesting and worthy of attenti...

متن کاملAlumina nanostructured coating for corrosion protection of 316L stainless steel
Nanostructured alumina thin films were coated on stainless steel by Sol-Gel dip coating method. In order to prevent crack formation, Al2O3 films were kept in a solvent bath immediately after coating to reduce the rate of drying. Effects of calcination temperature and withdrawal speed on structural properties were analyzed using XRD and SEM. Topography and thickness of coat...
